Non-Executive Director

Dentists’ Provident is a leading provider of income protection insurance to dental professionals.

As a mutual organisation, we exist solely for the benefit of our members and our success is based on a culture focusing on quality and service. We are seeking applications from highly motivated and experienced dental professionals who wish to be considered for the exciting and challenging position of non-executive director on our board.

The Role

• Working as part of a team to determine the strategy and priorities for the Society
• Providing independent oversight of the group’s activities
• Acting as an expert on the dental profession

The Person

• Reputation and credibility to engender respect within the dental community
• Intellect and sound judgment with the capacity to influence strategic direction and challenge constructively
• Strong inter-personal communication skills
• Previous business/financial management experience within a hospital, surgery or other business setting
• Strong commitment to training and development

The average on-site time commitment will usually be the equivalent of four to eight days per year, plus additional time for reading and meeting preparation
