Post-Registration Subject Matter Expert

Job Description

NEBDN requires Subject Matter Experts to guide the development of our Dental Nursing Post-Registration Qualifications. As a Subject Matter Expert your duties will include the review and amendment of our qualifications and associated assessments.

You may also be required to be involved in the development of new Post-registration Qualifications, and assessments.

The Subject Matter Expert should possess a good working knowledge of the qualifications and assessments.

Knowledge and experience required

• Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of the subject
• Have experience working in the relevant area of expertise
• Certified evidence of the subject expertise
• Knowledge of effective assessments
• Experience in creating effective and reliable assessment questions and scenarios
• Availability for the attendance of meetings should you be required
• Liaise with other Subject Matter Experts and internal NEBDN staff
• Identify curriculum updates and enhancements for GDC and Ofqual compliance
• Ensure that the subject constantly meets the needs of stakeholders, legislation, policies, standards, and best practice

Requirements of the role

• Applying subject expertise to develop effective qualification assessment, for valid and reliable outcomes
• Identify areas that will improve NEBDN qualification performance
• Liaise with the Product Development Manager and other NEBDN staff on appropriate improvements for the qualifications
• Consult with other professionals with NEBDN for other stakeholder and regulatory input
• To declare and mitigate any personal conflict of interest
• Actively represent Subject Experts when presenting to NEBDN and stakeholders
• Provide input for the design and development of examinations and mock examinations
• Undertake adjustments or provision of new questions in relation to exam feedback Provide input into training material for the relevant Qualification
• Guide other professionals on the content of the Qualification
