We are recruiting for an outstanding individual to join us as Clinical Lecturer in Oral Surgery. We are looking to appoint a suitably qualified individual to provide teaching to undergraduate and postgraduate students, and contribute to service and research, as well as the growth and development of particularly teaching activity in Oral Surgery in the School of Dentistry. The role will be for 2 days per week, most likely Monday and Fridays.
Key priorities will include:
- Perform teaching duties in relation to clinical and didactic teaching of undergraduate (BDS and BSc) and potentially postgraduate students in Oral Surgery
- Develop and provide teaching, supervision, mentoring and assessment of undergraduate and postgraduate students
- Develop and deliver lectures, seminars, tutorials and examinations for undergraduate and postgraduate students, including both in-person and online formats
- Work closely with the academic and NHS oral surgery team to deliver teaching and assessment of dental students.
Who we’re looking for:
- BDS or equivalent
- Full registration with the GDC
- At least 2 years’ experience in general/community practice, hospital service or equivalent
- Masters qualification in a relevant specialty area (desirable)
