Due to the further expansion of the business, we have an amazing opportunity for an enthusiastic, dynamic and highly motivated individual, able to work on their own initiative and also within a team, to join our Smart Dental Academy family, based in the Manchester area.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the coaching and mentoring of apprentices studying the Level 3 Dental Nurse Extended Diploma and Level 2 Functional skills in Mathematics.

The successful candidate will have at least 5 years’ experience in the role of a dental nurse and be registered with the General Dental Council (GDC).

They will hold a relevant assessors award (TAQA/A1) and tutoring (AET) qualification or be working towards them. We may consider this as a trainee post, full support will be provided, though the cost of both courses, will be the responsibility of the candidate. Should you wish to be considered for this role, please attach a cover letter explaining why you would like to be become a tutor/assessor.

The post will require you to plan and deliver teaching and learning that engages and challenges learners to develop new skills, behaviours, and knowledge. The theoretical knowledge will be delivered in a classroom-based environment, you will also be required to visit learners in practice to carry out workplace observations and performance reviews, throughout the Northwest of England and therefore a full driver’s licence is essential.

The successful candidate will require excellent communication, organisational, I.T and administrative skills, along with excellent time management skills.

The position is full time – Monday – Friday 09:00 - 17:00.
