Minor Oral Surgeon - PT, Blackburn

Smart Dental Care operates over 40 dental practices in a primary care setting and treats 2500 patients daily.

Smart operates a number of Minor Oral Surgery contracts on behalf of the NHS in various locations in the North West of England including Liverpool, Manchester and Preston.

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Specialist Oral Surgeon to deliver Minor Oral Surgery treatments in our practice in ,BB2
The applicant will be required to triage, manage and treat patients referred to Smart via the Minor Oral Surgery Referral Pathway managed by the NHS.

As a specialist surgeon, you will be expected to carry out the following procedures:

• Surgical removal of wisdom tooth
• Surgical removal of impacted wisdom
• Extraction of multiple teeth NEC
• Surgical removal of tooth
• Surgical removal of impacted tooth
• Surgical removal of retained root of tooth

Working will be on a flexible basis on a sessional basis on agreed days each month including Saturdays.

Skills & Experience To be successful in this role you will need to be GDC and specialist oral surgery registered with broad experience of oral surgery and capable of administering local anaesthetic or local anaesthetic with IV sedation

Qualifications • UK /UK registerable dental Degree
• Full and specialist registration in Oral Surgery with the GDC
• Appropriate specialist qualification

The successful candidate will be required to apply for a full DBS disclosure.
