We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Lecturer/Honorary Specialist Trainee in Oral Surgery based mainly in Glasgow Dental School in the School of Medicine, Dentistry and Nursing, which is part of the College of Medical, Veterinary and Life Sciences [MVLS] at the University of Glasgow.

The post allows the trainee to combine first class clinical training in relevant clinical areas with research training, scholarship and teaching in the world class academic environment of the University of Glasgow. Clinical training is based largely within Greater Glasgow & Clyde Health Board but includes opportunities in other Health Boards, including Forth Valley, Ayrshire & Arran, Lanarkshire and Dumfries & Galloway.

This post will provide an exceptional opportunity for combined clinical and academic training to ensure the appointee can successfully complete their certificate of completion of training [CCT].

The Dental School hosts two internationally recognised research groups in Oral Sciences and Community Oral Health, who collaborate with international research partners. The Dental School also houses an active Clinical Research Facility in partnership with NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde.

We welcome applications from candidates who hold a BDS or equivalent dental qualification which is registrable with the General Dental Council.  The appointee must be fully registered with the General Dental Council by the time of post commencement.

This post is full time and fixed term for up to 4 years.
