Details of Service & Purpose of the Post

Orthodontic & Restorative Service. To carry out treatment and care of clients who require orthodontic treatment or assessment.

Location of Post

Primary Care Services, St. Camillus’ Hospital Limerick

There are currently one permanent whole-time & one permanent part time vacancies in the Orthodontic & Restorative Department St. Camillus’ Hospital Limerick

A supplementary panel may be formed for Orthodontics Specialist, Primary Care Services, St Camillus Hospital Limerick from which current and future, permanent and specified purpose vacancies of full or part-time duration may be filled.

An existing panel is in place (NRS11806) which will take precedence over the panel being formed from this campaign

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have at the latest date of application: -

1.Professional Qualifications, Experience etc.

Be registered in the Register of Dentists of the Dental Council of Ireland or be entitled to be so registered.

And

Be registered in the Register of Dental Specialists, Division of Orthodontics of the Dental Council of Ireland or be entitled to be so registered.

And

Have satisfactory knowledge of the administrative aspects of Orthodontic Services.

And

Possess a high standard of professional knowledge and have had satisfactory experience in Orthodontics.

And

Possess the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and of administrative capacity) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.

2.Health

A candidate for and any person holding the office must be fully competent and capable of undertaking the duties attached to the office and be in a state of health such as would indicate a reasonable prospect of ability to render regular and efficient service.

Character

Each candidate for and any person holding the office must be of good character.

Please note that appointment to and continuation in posts that require statutory registration is dependent upon the post holder maintaining annual registration in the relevant division of the register maintained by the Dental Council of Ireland.
