The Dublin Dental University Hospital (DDUH) is seeking to recruit a Senior Lecturer / Associate Professor / Locum Consultant in Restorative Dentistry. This is a Specified Purpose Contract. The post will be for a maximum of three years.

The key duties of the role include the management of patients with Special Dental Needs such as severe hypodontia, amelogenesis imperfecta and dentinogenesis imperfecta and other patient cohorts as directed.

Qualifications, Experience & Person Specification

Applicants must have substantial teaching experience at university level including the clinical supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate students in Restorative Dentistry/ Prosthodontics.

Applicants must have completed or close to completing Specialist Training or equivalent training in the area of Restorative Dentistry/ Prosthodontics and hold an Intercollegiate Specialist Fellowship in Restorative Dentistry or be a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics or equivalent.

Applicants must have demonstrated commitment with respect to and experience in the design, delivery and management of dental education programmes and evidence of clinical/academic leadership including managing professional teams, leading initiatives, chairing/participation in committees, contributing to strategy, participating and managing relevant aspects of clinical governance, audit and standards of care.
