Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Biomedical Sciences (Dentistry) Grade 8/9
£43,415 - £69,564 pa
Applications are invited from enthusiastic and motivated individuals for this post in the School of Dentistry. There is a major teaching focus but the appointment may be to the Teaching & Scholarship or Teaching & Research tracks, dependent upon the interests, record and aptitude of the applicant. Applicants should be conversant with contemporary learning, teaching and assessment concepts in the Higher Education setting. You must be able to lead and to teach relevant aspects of Biomedical Sciences on the Bachelor of Dental Surgery and BSc Dental Therapy programmes, which includes elements of Problem Based Learning, didactic teaching and the development and delivery of various forms of assessment. There will be opportunities to contribute to PGT and PGR programmes in the school, through teaching and supervision. Scholarship and research are encouraged, and those applicants with active research interests will be supported to engage in collaborative research within the School, Institute and Faculty. The appointee will be expected to contribute to leadership and management within the school and will be supported to develop the necessary skills.
