Community Dental Services CIC (CDS CIC) is a social enterprise driven by its overarching purpose - improving oral health in our communities. We provide a crucial range of predominantly NHS special care and paediatric dental services across the East of England and East Midlands, from a variety of settings. We also undertake oral health improvement and epidemiology surveys. We are owned entirely by our employees, the majority of which are dental care professionals.
You will have shared accountability with the Executive Team and Board, for exceptional, evidence-led, professional and clinical dental leadership ensuring person-centred care meets the individual patient needs in our diverse and often vulnerable communities. There will be a strategic collaboration working closely with the Chief Operating Officer to ensure that there is a joint approach to delivering clinical excellence within the business context of delivering on contracts to agreed service specifications within budget.
You will ensure the clinical workforce is safe, highly skilled, motivated and engaged to deliver the highest standards of service with a key emphasis on Clinical Quality and Governance responsibilities as part of delivery on contractual Key Performance Indicators.
The role is based at our head office in Sharnbrook, Bedfordshire, with scope for hybrid working. As you will be expected to visit all CDS CIC locations on occasion, the ability to travel to all bases is essential.
Applicants will hold a relevant clinical postgraduate qualification be able to demonstrate a wide range of clinical experience. You will have experience of providing leadership to a clinical workforce and a clear understanding of and ability to develop organisational level clinical and corporate governance frameworks including providing assurance to board and commissioners.
