The Partnership
CEG Digital has partnered with the University of Plymouth to deliver a programme of courses taught online within a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE), Moodle. The flexible learning programmes equip students with valuable skills and knowledge, without interrupting income and career progression.
The Course
This exciting new online MSc course has been developed to provide students with an integrated understanding of contemporary approaches to restorative dentistry with a particular focus on the scientific aspects underpinning care. The programme has an interdisciplinary approach, combining conservative dentistry, periodontics, endodontics and fixed and removable prosthodontics and uses a dynamic, problem-based approach to teaching and assessment.
The core modules offered are:
- Pathogenesis and diagnosis of dental diseases and dental materials
- Caries, tooth surface loss, direct restorations
- Periodontology and endodontics
- Fixed and removable prosthodontics
- Research project
The Module
We are seeking an online tutor to work on the first module in this programme of study, Pathogenesis and diagnosis of dental diseases and dental materials.
This initial module aims to provide the foundations for the rest of the degree by explaining basic concepts relevant to understanding the nature of common dental diseases, along with the techniques used to undertake a thorough examination and form diagnoses. Relevant theoretical aspects of dental materials are also covered.
Future Modules
Expressions of interest are also welcome from applicants with expertise relevant to future modules of the course, with contracted start dates in January, June and September 2023:
- Module 2; Caries, tooth surface loss, direct restorations
- Module 3; Periodontology and endodontics
- Module 4; Fixed and removable prosthodontics
