Dental nurse

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic dental nurse to join our lovely team. 2-3 years’ experience is desirable, but not essential.

We are a fully private practice offering exceptional dental care to Wedmore and its surrounding villages. Under the directorship of Jennifer Morecroft, we focus on providing excellent customer service and personalised patient care.

The practice is situated in the heart of Wedmore village with access to shops, pubs and deli options for lunch. There is a village car park close to the practice which offers free parking.

A brief overview of employment duties include:

• Helping our patients to feel calm and comfortable throughout treatment.

• Assisting our dentists and hygienists chair-side.

• Preparing and maintaining the clinical environment.

• Carrying out infection prevention and control procedures to the highest standard.

• Recording dental charting and oral tissue assessment carried out by the clinicians.

• Maintaining and promoting patient confidentiality.

• Assisting on reception and performing other clerical duties as required.

Experience in SOE Exact software would be desirable, along with a positive and pro-active approach to training and development. Full CPD support given.

The role is 39 hours per week, including a Thursday evening. The position may suit two applicants looking to job share.

12 month fixed-term contract with view to permanent position.

Salary: From £12.50 per hour
