Practice Manager

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a small number of practices, practices with a difference.

We are looking for a manager to help run this growing mobile Dental service across the South of England.

Start date; ASAP, Will consider all notice periods

Full time, 4-5 days per week, from Monday to Friday

This is a unique opportunity to help manage and oversee their expansion as they continue to grow and develop.
This is a hugely rewarding position, as they treat patients who struggle to get to a traditional dentist and are very appreciative to the difference this group make to their lives.

They do employ not only dentists, but also dental therapists, nurses etc, who deliver their dental service using mobile dental equipment in the patients homes.

This group have 2 bases, one in Totnes, Devon and one in Portchester, Hampshire where their vans operate from and where the ‘receptions’ are based.

This role will include supporting the whole team on the road
-Being organised and interested in logistics as well as performing the role of a registered CQC Manager,.and the ability to be able to work and travel across both sites.
-Sometimes candidates will have vans on the road from Brighton in the East, to Plymouth in the West and as far as London all on the same day.
-Candidates will have to combine face to face daily management with a high degree of “remote” managing which will test management skills.

Duties:
- Efficient day to day running of the practice and the mobile dental units.
-Operations reporting and admin
- Engagement and development of the practice team
-Management of direct reports; performance, appraisals, all HR related tasks
- CQC Registered manager- ownership of practice compliance
· Oversee and implement local marketing initiatives to promote and grow services and patient base

Candidate Requirements
· At least 2 years Practice Manager experience (Private and NHS advantageous) but they are happy to consider applications from Senior dental nurses who have an understanding of the CQC and operational requirements of running a dental practice.
. They are happy to take applications from candidates looking to work 4 - 5 days per week.
· Strong people management background: ability to engage and support practice team
· Good organisational skills/ timekeeping
· Well presented, professional and personable
· Excellent communications skills both written and spoken
· IT literate – Excel, Word and Outlook, Desirable- Knowledge of SOE /R4 or other dental software programmes
. Monitoring contract delivery and practice targets
. Debt management, and banking procedures
· Dental experience is essential, nursing background would be advantageous

Experience:
-Dental nursing: 3 years (preferred)
-Dental Practice Management: 2 years (preferred)
