Have you considered escaping the UK blues and instead living and working by the Pacific Ocean? This was me 20 years ago when I emigrated from the UK to New Zealand.

Modern five surgery, owner operated, dental practice is now looking for an associate, with or without a view. Over the next year or so I will be looking to retire.

Ocean Dental Centre has 3 fulltime associates and provides the whole range of dentistry in fully equipped practice in the city of Gisborne on the East Coast of the North Island. The practice is 100m to the beach. In New Zealand all dentistry is private with no NHS equivalent to deal with. Regulation is light with no QCC, so you will not spend your life filling in forms or dealing with complaints. Financially you are likely to be better off here than in the UK, working less hard but with an unlimited amount of work and a fee structure that you set. UK trained dentists usually have no problem getting registered with the DCNZ. Immigration NZ website will have information on pathways to come to New Zealand which usually starts with a job offer.

 Gisborne is renowned for its easy outdoor lifestyle, fabulous beaches for swimming and surfing (with no sharks or crocs), cafes and restaurants, yet is a short flight away from the metropolitan centers of Wellington and Auckland (which also makes it easy to travel to anywhere else in the world.) It is considered a Mediterranean climate, growing oranges, lemons, and grapes. It is a great place to raise a family.
