South Down Clinic is a Specialist (referral only) clinic. We currently are recruiting for an associate in the following specialty:

Implantology

Full Time (8 sessions)

(Min 6 sessions/week)

The successful applicant should be:

• An experienced Implantologist who excels at working within a team of specialist colleagues for the benefit of delivering high quality care to our referred patients.
• Familiar with using a well-researched implant system which can be provided according to your preference, if not already available within the clinic; Megagen, Ankylos , Biohorizons Neodent and other implant systems have been used in the clinic.
• Competent in both surgical and restorative aspects of implant treatment but primarily restorative management of complex cases.
• Able to commit to a minimum of 6-8 sessions per week ideally. Evening sessions and Saturdays are also available and distributed to all specialists in the clinic.
• Available for post-operative care and continuity of patient care, attracting a candidate located or able to locate within the area.
• Experienced in delivery of post graduate education to communicate with and support our
• referring dentists. This is not absolutely essential but is a positive attribute for any applicant.
• Able to communicate well with all team members and contribute positively to working life in the clinic!
• Be confident to liaise with colleagues from other specialties, in designing the most appropriate treatment plans for our patients.
• Able to handle IT systems within the clinic supporting a fully digital administration.

You will be joining an established five surgery private practice with state of the art facilities in a period of expansion. You will be working in a newly constructed purpose built clinic in the heart of Newry, along the main Belfast -Dublin corridor.

Experienced professional clinical and administrative staff will support you to provide and maintain high standards of care to patients from all over Ireland who seek exceptional quality of care from our specialists. We currently provide treatment in several dental specialist fields and wish to extend to the existing and add new services.

The primary aims of the South Down Clinic are to fulfil the requests of the referring dentists and exceed patient expectations.

 In addition, many of our referred patients benefit from a multidisciplinary approach and enjoy the accessibility of receiving this treatment in a single specialist clinic with a coordinated and comprehensive treatment plan.

Training centre for Oral Surgery Specialists, Educational supervisors and Vocational trainees.

Pilot provider for NHS Oral surgery and pre-orthodontic surgery services.

Lecture facilitates with direct video link from surgery for the delivery of live clinical courses.
