Administrator/Recruitment Officer

We have an amazing opportunity for an enthusiastic, dynamic and highly motivated individual, able to work on their own initiative and also within a team, to join our academy family.

Due to the expansion of the academy, an exciting opportunity has arisen within Smart Dental Academy for an administrator/recruitment officer based in the Blackburn town centre.

Smart Dental Academy provides dental nurse and dental practice management apprenticeships, along with postgraduate dental courses throughout the Northwest. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, self motivated, individual to join our team.  This is a full time permanent position with an immediate start.

Responsibilities include

  • Liaising with both student and Dental Practice Managers to ensure the successful recruitment of students
  • Completing student inductions onto the relevant training courses
  • Liaising with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Supporting the academy Program Director and Academy staff
  • Dealing with email/telephone enquiries
  • General Office Duties – Data imputing, Printing, Scanning, Photocopying, Binding
  • Responding to student/staff enquiries giving appropriate information regarding courses
  • Attending academy meetings and minute taking
  • Organising, promoting and attending promotional events
  • Booking student examinations and invigilating them

The successful candidate will have

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A good standard of English and grammar
  • Excellent ICT skills inc Word, Excel, PowerPoint and the ability to learn new systems quickly
  • The ability to work as a team but equally on their own initiative
  • Excellent organisational, time management & multitasking skills
  • The ability to travel to dental practices and academy training sites, throughout the Northwest – therefore a car would be essential
