Smart Dental Academy Tutor/Assessor Vacancy Advert

We are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic and highly motivated individual, able to work on their own initiative and also within a team, to join our academy family.

Due to the expansion of the academy, an exciting opportunity has arisen within Smart Dental Academy for a Tutor/Assessor based in the Manchester area.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the coaching and mentoring of apprentices studying the Level 3 Dental Nurse Extended Diploma and Level 2 Functional skills in Mathematics.

The successful candidate will have at least 2 years experience in the role of a dental nurse and be registered with the General Dental Council (GDC).

They will hold a relevant assessors award (TAQA/A1) and tutoring (AET) qualification, or be working towards them. We may consider a training post for the right candidate – please attach a cover letter explaining why you would like to be become a tutor/assessor.

The post will require you to plan and deliver teaching and learning that engages and challenges learners to develop new skills, behaviours and knowledge. The theoretical knowledge will be delivered in a classroom based environment, you will also be required to visit learner’s in practice to carry out workplace observations and performance reviews, throughout the Northwest of England and therefore a full driver’s licence is essential.

The successful candidate will require excellent communication, organisational, I.T and administrative skills.

The position is full time – Monday – Friday 09:00 - 17:00.
