Cardiff University, College of Biomedical and Life Sciences, School of Dentistry invites applications for the post of full-time Clinical Lecturer in Oral Surgery.

If you can demonstrate outstanding potential for an academic clinical career in oral surgery, this post offers an exciting opportunity for integrated academic and clinical skills development.  We are looking for someone who is aiming to develop their academic career in teaching (in a variety of contexts) and who wishes to build research skills as part of a postgraduate degree (with outputs including publications and grant submissions).  The department comprises researchers in long-established and well-funded research groups (in laboratory science and epidemiological research).  You will be supported to maintain and develop your surgical competencies and experience in Oral Surgery and, academically, to prepare high-quality applications for new research or clinical academic fellowships.

This post includes the opportunity for a successful and suitable appointee to apply to Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW) for the award of a specialty National Training Number (NTN) in Oral Surgery following completion of the University requirements associated with the post including any probationary period.

The successful candidate will be awarded an appropriate honorary contract by Cardiff and Vale University Health Board.
