The Faculty of Dentistry, Oral & Craniofacial Sciences at King’s College London is the largest centre of excellence in the UK for dental, oral and craniofacial education, with an outstanding record for quality assurance in learning and teaching.   The Faculty is the premier place to study dentistry in the UK and its international reputation is reflected by our consistent top 5 place in the QS World University Rankings. We are now seeking to recruit to the role of Director of Student Welfare, a key educational leadership post within the Faculty.  The successful candidate will become an integral member of the Dental Faculty’s leadership team, supporting the delivery of the Faculty’s strategic priorities relating to student welfare. 

Networking with the provision across the University, the Director of Student Welfare will be responsible for ensuring appropriate frameworks are in place to support the well-being and welfare of the entire UG and PG student body within the faculty, as well as leading the UG and PG personal tutor network.  The successful candidate will therefore have demonstrable understanding and experience of providing student support, a clinical oral healthcare team background and a passion to help students succeed. She/he will also have proven people management skills to successfully develop, support and manage the staff involved in personal tutoring, student progress and welfare within the Centre for Dental Education. 

The appointee will join a team of honorary consultants, NHS consultants and specialists in all areas of clinical care provision, he/she will paid on the clinical Non-HCC pay scale (£56,471 - £78,986  incl. of London Weighting). An appropriate honorary contract with Guy’s and St Thomas’s Foundation Trust will be provided.

This post will be offered on an indefinite contract

This is a full-time post - 100% full time equivalent
