Avenue Dental Surgery is a small and friendly practice offering an extensive range of dental treatment, including general dentistry, dental implants and cosmetic dentistry (bio clear). Located close to Torquay town centre with off road parking available, it is a rapidly advancing practice with an established patient list that has built an incredibly strong reputation in the local area.

About The Role

We now have a unique and exciting opportunity for a Practice Principal to join the team. Predominantly responsible for private cases, with a target of circa 1000 UDAs (mainly children). You will become the Clinical Lead and VTE Trainer with responsibility for mentoring trainee Dentists in this busy and successful mixed practice. Alongside clinical excellence, you will be commercially driven, team orientated and committed to driving the business to achieve its goals. To be successful in this role you will be passionate about training, teaching and education.

• Four day per week opportunity, typically two days teaching and two days practicing
• The surgery is open 8.30am until 5.30pm between Monday to Friday
• Preventative, general and cosmetic dentistry
• Highest standards of patient and clinical care 
• Mentoring and leading the practice team and associates
• Four surgery practice consisting of four Dentists, six Nurses and a Hygienist
• Support of an experienced and qualified team, and exceptional dental nurses

About The Candidate

• You will be an accomplished clinician with experience across the full range of dentistry
• As Clinical Lead you will be responsible for leading the wider team, and passionate about growing and increasing the success of the practice
• As VTE Trainer you will be committed to mentoring trainee Dentists
• GDC registration 
• NHS performer number 
• Valid indemnity cover and DBS check  
• Fully compliant with a good understanding of CQC
• Vaccinated against hepatitis B
• Excellent clinical and interpersonal skills 
• Strong teamwork ability with an enthusiastic attitude
• Passion for continuous learning and development
