Associate Dentist

Thorpe Dental Group LTD in York are searching for a skilled and experienced Dentist with excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour to join our professional team. The ideal candidate will have worked with patients of all ages, is proficient in performing regular oral health examinations and complex dental procedures, is committed to the highest quality of patient care and an excellent timekeeper.

We are seeing a high demand of new patients wanting to register at the practice so this position will be at our Woodthorpe Practice and will consist of some existing patients but mostly new patients to the practice. There is a 50/50 split on lab bills and private payments.

You will be required to see some NHS children and adult emergencies.

The applicant must be GDC registered with an active NHS performer number and suitable indemnity.

This position is to work Monday- Wednesday and Friday with current working hours 8.30 am-5 pm.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and provide appropriate dental treatment to patients

• Educate patients and parents of patients on maintaining proper oral health

• Communicate with dental staff on our team regarding patient treatment plans

• Prescribe medications as necessary

• Carefully document all medications, diagnoses, treatments and consultations

• Refer when appropriate

• Supervise the work of professional, technical and administrative staff

Facilities:

The practise has been established for over 20 years. We are fully computerised and use R4. On-site there is the use of digital X-rays, iTero, CEREC, laser and CBCT.

We have Dental Hygienists and therapists available for private use to all patients at a cost to the associates. Hygienists must be used by all patients as part of their membership plans.
