Locum Dentist

We are looking for a locum dentist to care for our NHS patients from the 24th May 2021 to the end of August 2021.

MUST be fully compliant – GDC registration, indemnity insurance, immunisations, proof of right to work in the UK, enhanced DBS & details of 2 clinical references.

The locum dentist must have an active UK National Health Performer Number, meet all necessary requirements set by the East of England NHS team, meet the requirements of the CQC and the local requirements of the Wedgwood House Dental Practice. We would prefer a dentist experienced in general practice.

• Hours: 4 days a week (flexible but to include Friday, not weekends). 08:30 to 17:30 with 1 hour lunch.

• £400/day, 30 UDAs (minimum) a day. Reduction of £10 per UDA if 30 UDA’s not achieved on average over a week.  Lab bills 50:50.
• Established patient list.  89% diary fill since Sept 2020.  Emergency appointments and 111 calls taken every day.
• Friendly staff and patients.  Non-corporate, family run, pleasant Grade II listed premises short walk from town-centre.
• Digital intraoral and OPG Xrays.
• SoE EXACT with ExaminePro and Clinipads.
• Air filtration and opening window in every treatment room.
• Nurse provided and private hygienist on site available for referrals.
• Separate decontamination room with scrub nurse.
• Standard non-AGP PPE supplied though locum to supply own FFP3 mask or equivalent if unable to fit NHS provided FFP3 masks.  NHS trained mask fit tester on site if required.
• Public car parking at £2.50/day less than 2 mins walk.
• Trains to London/Norwich and buses to Ipswich/Bury St Edmunds nearby.  Assistance given to find well-priced accommodation if needed.
