We are a group of dental practices looking for a Healthcare Practice Manager to plan and develop policies to transform the practices into a dynamic and cohesive group focussed on growth.

 This would involve finding and pursuing opportunities within the public and private domain, making policies and planning for change with a view to optimise resources and transform the practices into an efficient group with a dynamic and responsive management structure.

 The essential requirements for this position are:

 A graduate level qualification in Dentistry. This position is aimed at non practicing dentists who have a complete understanding of the clinical and non-clinical issues that arise in the practice of dentistry.

A Masters level post graduate qualification in Healthcare Management is an essential requirement for this position as this position involves assuming responsibilities and planning and implementing policies at a senior managerial level.

 The main responsibilities for this position are as follows:

  • To develop and implement a comprehensive plan to transform the practices to benefits from the changing landscape in dentistry. This would involve exploring patient acceptance and expectations of complex procedures like Implantology, Orthodontics and Facial Aesthetics;
  • To develop and implement a system whereby remote video consultations can be carried out for emergency appointments where a face to face appointment is difficult;
  • To plan and implement a system for automated charging for such appointments;
  • To plan and implement a system of high quality media advertising using original digital content;

Other responsibilities of this position are:

  • To plans work schedules, assign tasks and delegate responsibilities to practice staff;
  • To oversees staff training and monitoring training needs;
  • To take responsibility for regulatory matters;
  • To negotiate contracts for services
  • To take responsibility for stock control of practice equipment, materials etc.;
  • To liaise with relevant outside organisations (NHS trust LAT, CQC, GDC and professional bodies like BDA);
  • Responsibility for budgeting, pricing and accounting activities within the practice.

Salary

An annual salary of £25750 is offered for this position. The candidates are required to work 43 hours per week across three practices in the South West of England.
