Associate Dentist

Full time/part time associate needed to take over existing list from departing Dentist

Bewdley, Worcestershire, 35 min drive from Birmingham

This is an excellent opportunity for someone to join our well established forward thinking practice which is based in a lovely listed tudor building.

We are looking for a caring, ethical dentist with a good sense of humour (crucial to get the job) to join our mixed NHS/Private 6 surgery dental practice.

The job entails taking over an existing list of patients

Pay is 50% of NHS and 60% of Private (there is large private potential as Bewdley and surrounding areas are very affulent areas) with lab bills split in the same way.

We have 11 fully qualified dental nurses who are qualified to take x-rays and impressions (they take all my bite wings and dental impressions.)

We have an ortho treatment coordinator who also takes the scans on our Invisalign patients.

My implant coordinator and another one of my nurses are also qualified to take CBCTs

We strongly believe in the importance of oral hygiene as it allows us dentists to concentrate on restorative work and as such we employ 4 hygienists.

We are fully computerised with SOE, Clinipads, Digital x-rays, 4 wave one systems (used on all patients NHS and private with no charge to associates), Aquacare, Pentamix, electric handpieces, all the best materials like rely x, fugi, panavia etc… There is also a dedicated central sterilisation room with ultrasonics, washer disinfectors, DAC machine, reverse osmosis machine, Blah, Blah.

We have just invested in intra-oral scanners, Carestream cs3700 and an iTero (for Invisalign), milling machine, 3d printer and a CBCT scanner, so you will be involved with the joys and headaches of the digital world!

We have a large common room with a fully fitted kitchen which we can use to poison you with the food we cook or get in!

We provide all types of dentistry ourselves such as cosmetic smile makeovers, Fastbraces, Invisalign ( we have four dentists who provide this), implants and facial aesthetics i.e we are lucky to do the dentistry we want to do.

There is a very strict practice policy with poor attending patients and hence are fortunate to get very few ftas!

As one of the principle dentists I am present 4 days a week at the practice and have an open door policy with all my dentists for mentoring/ clinical support or just an excuse for a chat over tea and biscuits.

There are four other experienced clinicians who can assist and offer advice if I'm not available or another surgery to get away from your four walled prison cell!

The dentist is only leaving as he has bought his own practice and he will be sorely missed. He has earned a very good income whilst he has been here and is happy to talk to the new candidate this and any other aspects.

I also want to point out that throughout this Pandemic we have paid our associates their correct income.

We can start you straightaway for a few days if needed or we are happy to wait until you have given your notice

My final word would be that it is a great place to progress ones career in a relaxed caring environment but still striving to provide the advanced dentistry you want to do.
