The Dental School currently has vacancies for Clinical Lecturers in Dentistry and is looking for enthusiastic and motivated dental practitioners who are keen to teach our undergraduate students. A variety of part-time posts are available on a fixed term basis, for three years.


You will be expected to undertake teaching including clinical supervision, practical teaching in the clinical skills laboratory and the delivery of lectures and tutorials in the school, as directed by the Dean of School or relevant Academic Lead. In addition, you must be prepared to be involved in appropriate pastoral care and Academic Advising of students and to take part in the day to day running of the Dental School. All academic staff are obliged to take part in the formal and informal assessment of students as directed by the Dean of School. Staff are also obliged to take part in Peer Review of Teaching, attend Academic Unit meetings and participate in training courses offered by the School or University.

Applicants must have full registration with the GDC and have completed
foundation training (or equivalent) in primary care dentistry.
