Applications are invited for suitably qualified and experienced dentists to join our leadership team and work within Community Dental Services for Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust in conjunction with Wye Valley NHS Trust in Hereford.

The clinical responsibilities of the post include the provision of specialist Special Care Dentistry to a full range of patients referred with severe disability, medical or mental health needs.

You will provide care in community, hospital and domiciliary settings using the full range of appropriate conscious sedation techniques and provision of treatment under GA.

The leadership and management responsibilities of the post are to ensure the strategic planning and development of the service to adapt to the business environment in which it operates and to develop the workforce to be able to provide the skills set required of a specialist service; also to ensure the service delivers on the activity, fi nancial and quality contractual targets. You will also have a lead role in the West Midlands Managed Clinical Network (MCN) in SCD.

As well as full GDC registration and an NHS performer number, you will need to be on the Specialist List in SCD and have completed a period of further development at post-CCST level in leadership and management. You will need to be able to demonstrate a track record of leadership and management together with experience of leading quality improvement, training and service development projects.

You will also be expected to be fully fl exible and able to travel and work at different sites across Worcestershire and Herefordshire.
