We are recruiting for an Associate Dentist to join our fully private Multi Award-Winning Digital Dental & Implant Clinic

About Us

We are an independent, fully digital private Multi Award-Winning Digital Dental & Implant Clinic based in the affluent City of Brighton & Hove East Sussex. The Clinic is walking distance from the beach and Hove’s trendy restaurants, bars and shops. We have created luxurious surroundings for both patients and our team members in a handsome detached building set in its own grounds.

Our Clinic has an excellent reputation and offers a full scope of general dental treatments, implants, same-day dentistry, short-term orthodontics, aesthetic dentistry and facial aesthetics.

Fully Digital

Being the South Coasts’ only fully digital dental & implant clinic, we pride ourselves on providing high quality dentistry using the latest digital technology.

Our own onsite digital laboratory, houses the latest in digital technology:

  • Straumann C Series Milling Machine,
  • Straumann P20 3D Printer,
  • Furnace
  • Straumann CARES full digital lab software. 
  • Onsite CBCT Scanner (Planmeca ProMax 3D Classic) which includes the revolutionary Planmeca ProFace providing 3D face visualisation technology for our patients and referrals to the clinic.

About You

You will be an experienced Associate Dentist who is looking to provide high quality dentistry and achieve exceptional remuneration.

Ideally you will also have a special interest in Endodontics. A special interest also in Periodontics would be advantageous too.

You will need to compliment our extremely high standards, must be a team player, be genuinely committed to your work, understand time management and have excellent communicative patient skills.

Skills

You will need:

  • Excellent manual dexterity and technical skills, plus the ability to maintain intense concentration for prolonged periods
  • High standards of clinical ability
  • A minimum of 1 year experience in private practice
  • A varied set of general dental skills and have good communication skills to offer a professional and personable service to all our patients and be well mannered and groomed at all times.
  • To use intra and extra oral photography as standard and own your own SLR camera
  • The ability to build relationships with patients and colleagues
  • To have level communication and interpersonal skills, for interaction with patients of all ages and backgrounds;
  • Have a flexible approach
  • Interest in the welfare of others in a sympathetic manner, particularly to deal with patients' fears
  • Information technology skills
  • Knowledge of Digital Dentistry

It is also important that you have good eyesight and are committed to having your eyes checked regularly.

In return you will work within a stunning “boutique style” environment alongside an extremely professional friendly, approachable and supportive team. In addition, you will have a dedicated top of the range Treatment Suite to treat your patients.

  • Taking over an existing full list of patients

Ideally, we are looking for an “all-rounder” who has a great personality, friendly disposition, works well within a team and provides exceptionally high-quality treatments (Invisalign/Short term orthodontics and Implant experience preferred). You will also be required to utilise the full benefits of our laboratory and digital technology throughout.

Responsibilities

As an Associate Dentist, your work will include:

  • Examining mouth/teeth and diagnosing patients' dental conditions
  • Assessing treatment options and discussing treatment plans with patients
  • Educating patients on oral healthcare
  • Carrying out agreed clinical treatments such as restoring teeth affected by decay and treating gum disease
  • Maintaining thorough patients dental records
  • Observing excellent time management for the benefit of both the patient and clinic

We are a young dynamic team of highly skilled and trained professionals all of whom are truly committed team players who support one another throughout our very busy working days, alongside brain storming team meetings.

Hours of Work

Full Time - five clinic days per week (including one late night to 8pm) with the clear understanding additional hours may be required and are available. In addition you will be required to share the out of hours emergency rota and cover your colleagues’ annual leave so flexibility is of equal importance to us as is working additional hours as patient lists grow plus ad hoc Saturdays when required.

Qualifications

You must have an approved degree in dentistry to practice as a dentist and be GDC registered.

Ideally you will also have a special interest in Endodontics. A special interest also in Periodontics would be advantageous too.

Invisalign/Short term orthodontics and Implant experience preferred.

Additional specialism or wishing to undertake appropriate courses to enhance your dental career are fully encouraged, particularly as expansion and excellent growth will meet our long-term patient demand.

You will have a minimum of no less than 1 year working in a fully private practice.
