LECTURER IN GLOBAL ORAL HEALTH (SDEN0053)

Salary scale £40,792-£48,677

The School of Dentistry at the University of Dundee seeks to appoint a lecturer in Global Oral Health on a fixed term contract for 3 years in the first instance. The post holder will have experience of working in Internationalisation at a higher education level and expertise in an area of research which fits with the School research agenda.  They will contribute to the academic discipline of Dental Public Health encompassing social inequalities, global oral health and internationalisation as well as clinical communication, health promotion, oral epidemiology and dental health at an undergraduate and postgraduate level.  The appointee will be required to actively promote an interdisciplinary approach and work at the interface of these disciplines across internationalization, research and teaching.  The post-holder will specifically focus on developing the School’s internationalisation agenda with the ADI and it is envisioned that they will have a leadership role in research in the area of dental health service, global inequalities or communication research.

CLINICAL RESEARCH FELLOW SCRIPT SELECTIVE CARIES IN PERMANENT TEETH TRIAL/HON STR RESTORATIVE DENTISTRY

Salary scale £34,125 - £64,845

The University of Dundee in collaboration with NHS Education for Scotland (NES) wishes to appoint a Specialist Trainee Registrar (Restorative)/Clinical Research Fellow for the SCRIPT Trial. Applications are invited for this post which has two elements:

  • Academic/research training by supporting the SCRIPT Trial: Selective Caries Removal In Permanent Teeth (commissioned by the National Institute for Health Research’s HTA Programme -  17/127/07) and completing a higher research degree
  • Specialty training in Restorative Dentistry

This is an exciting opportunity for qualified dentists looking for a stimulating career. In addition to Specialty Training in Restorative Dentistry and appropriate dental school clinical and teaching duties, the main responsibility of the post holder will be to support the SCRIPT Trial and will involve working closely with the Trial Managers and team.
