Advisor for the National Advice Centre for Postgraduate Dental Education

The Dean and Board of the Faculty of Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons of England invite applications from experienced consultants or specialist practitioners in a dental specialty based in a hospital dental department for the role of NACPDE Advisor.

ROLE SUMMARY  

The NACPDE Advisor will co-ordinate the sponsorship of Tier 5 visas for dentists wishing to come to the United Kingdom for a fixed period of training under the Medical Training Initiative (MTI).  They will research and update information on the NACPDE website and provide advice to overseas dentists on UK employment.  They will speak on behalf of dentistry on Tier 5 and MTI matters.

The commitment is one to three clinical sessions per calendar month, which attracts an honorarium of up to £250 per session.  Most work can be done outside normal working hours but some visits to London will be required to interview applicants or attend meetings. The role is supported by an Administrator working 1.5 days per week for the NACPDE.
