We are now seeking to appoint a self-motivated and innovative individual to the role of Consultant in Dental Public Health for Greater Manchester. To succeed in this role candidates will be familiar with the wide range of stakeholders contributing to Dental Public Health outcomes and have a clear focus on the Public Health added value they can offer.

The Consultant in Dental Public Health will be expected to provide strategic leadership and expert dental public health advice to the Greater Manchester Heath and Social Care Partnership and the PHE Centre. The successful candidate will support the Greater Manchester Health and Social Care Partnership’s Population Health and Commissioning Directorate in the development of networks within the local public health system and clinical dental services to support improvement in oral health, reduction of inequalities and provision of services to meet the oral health needs of the population. They will be expected to have effective links with PHE North West dental public health, academic dental public heath colleagues and the national dental public health network. Within the PHE North West Centre, through their role, they will support the strategic PHE contribution to improving and protecting the public’s health and reducing health inequalities.

The post will be based at Piccadilly Place in central Manchester with the requirement for travel within the geographical area of responsibility as relevant to the post.
