Senior Dental Nurse

Harley Street Maxillofacial & Orthodontic Clinic - London W1G

We have an opportunity for a presentable and experienced Dental Nurse to join our expanding team at The Harley Street Maxillofacial & Orthodontic Clinic. The role is to provide nursing and clinical administrative support to busy Consultant Maxillofacial Surgeons and Orthodontists. It is therefore essential that you have proven nursing background gained within a private hospital/clinic setting in order to keep up with this rewarding role.

The role does require candidates of the highest calibre. This clinic supports and provides ample opportunity for career progression.

Duties include:

Being a potential point of contact for calls from patients, hospital staff and GP.

Ensuring professionalism and excellent customer service at all times
Assisting consultants in minor oral surgery and orthodontic treatment
Taking OPG radiographs or CBCT scans
Taking dental impressions and casting models
Patient billing, approving invoices, ensure pricing and treatment costs are accurately captured.
Prepare and manage clinic and theatre appointments
Liaise with patients on all matters relating to the arrangement and organisation of appointments, referrals, correspondence, follow up, and any matters as delegated by the consultant.
Document management; dealing with all correspondence, typing, faxing, filing, scanning, archiving.

Essential Skills & Experience:
Registration with GDC
Previous experience in orthodontics and oral surgery
Excellent working knowledge of the Microsoft Office, including Word and Outlook

Certificated in Dental Radiology

Experience of working within a private clinic or hospital will be desirable

The appointee is expected to live with in 1 hour of commuting distance to Harley Street.

The salary will be highly competitive and is dependent on qualification and experience. The clinic is committed to training and professional development of all its staff and offers funded training opportunities.
