RecruitDent are posting on behalf of an organisation searching for a Dental Practice Manager to oversee the running of urgent care dental services in a clinic near Hull City Centre

Are you interested in joining a pioneering branch of dentistry focused on the management of urgent care patients ? Are you looking for flexibility and are in turn flexible yourself ?

We would like to attract a well-motivated team player, offering a patient centered approach to dentistry, as well as experience with NHS provision. You should have good communication and interpersonal skills. Full Time Monday to Friday 37.5 hrs a week of which some out of hours session will be required

  • £11.50 per hour
  • The post is contracted for 5years with possibility for extension or reposition
  • The Dental Practice Manager will have the overall responsibility for performance of dental services in a clinic near Hull City Centre

Role includes:

  • Overseeing the day to day running of town centre urgent dental care clinic
  • Drawing up and delivering set objectives, revenue targets, KPIs and cost management.
  • Recording, collecting, analysing data and implementing relevant changes to deliver objectives
  • Recruitment & training programs to directly manage a team of clinical and non clinical staff
  • Handling staff rotas including sickness and absences to ensure sufficient staffing levels are maintained
  • Handling complaints and feedback from staff and patients
  • Managing staff and their performance; appraisals and staff development reviews
  • Conducting regular team meeting
  • Putting in placing, enforcing and updating policies and procedures according to regulations and legislations
  • Maintaining premises, equipment and surfaces in a clean, safe, hygienic environment
  • Risk assessments audits and financial data which must be completed to company and CQC standards
  • Commercial awareness/business acumen – Experience of collecting & analysing financial data
  • Safely and securely managing clinic finances and payments
  • Maintaining stock, consumables, orders and contracts
  • Safeguarding lead
  • Information governance lead with awareness of Data Protection 2018 and GDPR

  • Motivation and drive to make your role and the business a success
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to manage relationships with colleagues, clinical professionals, customers and senior management.
  • Initiative to continually improve;
  • Good CQC and NHS guideline awareness
  • Organisation skills including prioritising important deadlines whilst managing reactive business needs


  • GDC Registration & indemnity will be required
  • Managerial risk assessment qualifications ideal,
  • Good leadership, organisational skills
  • Coaching mentoring skills
  • 2 strong references
  • Previous dental experience is essential. Dental management experience is desirable
