Locum Consultant in Paediatric Dentistry – full-time maternity cover

This is a Locum 1.0 WTE NHS post and is based in the Dental Health Unit of Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital post is available to cover maternity leave from March 2019.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the organisation and delivery of NHS clinical services of Paediatric Dentistry within Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital and will play a key role in providing integrated Oral Health care for children and young people with complex health needs, including paediatric dentistry input for the Cleft Lip and Palate Network in the North West.
The Consultant will share responsibility for multi-disciplinary patient care, Dental care professional and Specialist training, and postgraduate clinical education in Paediatric Dentistry.
Applicants must have full General Dental Council registration and be on the GDC Specialist Register in Paediatric Dentistry. Applicants may hold an existing Consultant level post or have completed (or be completing) a Post-CCST Paediatric Dentistry Consultant training programme. Candidates must have obtained a pass in the ISFE in Paediatric Dentistry at time of interview. Applicants must be in possession of a Certificate of Accreditation or demonstrate eligibility for a CCST in Paediatric Dentistry in the UK. Experience of multidisciplinary working and managing the oral health of complex children in a Children’s Hospital setting are essential.
