About us

We are a vibrant, independently owned dental practice group, currently with 2 practices in the north east of England. We are big enough to offer the flexibility and support of a group, but still small enough to avoid the restrictions of working for a corporate. We see both NHS and private patients, associates seeing mostly NHS patients whilst Alistair Bartlett, the principal dentist, sees patients privately, mostly under Denplan. We are committed to ongoing clinical, ethical and financial progress. Both practices hold the BDA Good Practice Scheme.

The Team

We have six associate dentists who have a range of experience and areas of interest and encourage intra-practice referrals. We have an active open door policy and meet for monthly dentist’s meetings. We would encourage you to try to attend these even if they fall on a day you do not normally work for us.

We have a fantastic team of well-established support staff. Our nurses hold many post qualification certificates including cross infection, fluoride application, implantology, radiography, oral health education. We believe strongly in teaching so you will be involved in the training of nurses at both pre and post qualification level.

We have a great relationship with our labs. Mick and Paul are always willing to discuss that awkward case on the phone or even come out to meet up with you and your patient for a truly integrated approach.

Equipment

We are a fully air conditioned computerised, paperless practice. We have digital x-rays, intra and extra oral photography, the Wand, fibre optics, endosonics, implants, electrosurgery, rotary endo etc. We have a surgical microscope, housed in our Hadrian Park practice, which will be available for you to use for private endodontic cases.

Development

Alistair Bartlett currently sees patients on a private (mostly Denplan) basis. This list could be transferred to the right person. If you would like to get involved in the treatment of patients having implants or Invisalign just come & have a chat.

Alistair is always available for joint cases of a more complex nature. Whether you just want to chat over a treatment plan or share in your patient’s care please just ask.

We provide free access to 32 hours of verifiable CPD each year, but over and above that our clinical lead dentist is happy to help you with your appraisal and PDP development and provide mentoring and support at a mutually agreed level.
